About the event

Purim is one of the most joyous and raucus holidays in the Jewish calendar. We dress up in costumes, drink copious amounts of alcohol, read from the megillah (the scroll containing the Book of Esther) and do a comical retelling of the Purim story, called a "schpiel." This year, we have rented a special event space to celebrate purim in style. Instead of a Purim Schpiel, we will whisk you away to the ancinet Persian city of Shushan to celebrate the wedding of Queen Esther to King Achashverosh. We will kick off the evening's festivities with a costume contest, face painting and other special treats for our smallest guests, then enjoy a full banquet dinner with a little megilah reading and then finish out the night with a masquerade ball! Want to learn Israeli folk dancing? We will have live music and an instructor with us to lead us in…
